The Arts and Basics Curriculum

The Arts and Basics program of study is based on our belief that children learn best when academic subjects are taught along with creative subjects.

Nobel Prize winning research has shown that learning occurs in both the left and right hemispheres of the brain, with the left side controlling analytical and logical thought and the right side controlling the imagination. We agree with research that shows that the best and most lasting learning occurs when both sides of the brain are engaged. Arts and Basics has had good success with an early learning program that introduces the child to academics and creative subjects in an atmoshphere where learning of all kinds is fun.

Each day of the week provides a different focus in academics and creativity.
Our subjects include:

Alphatime Letter System
Dance/Creative Movement
Private Violin Lesson
Rhythm Instruments
